The Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (ACTO), within the framework of the Amazon Basin Project – SAP Implementation, announces the launch of a Call for Proposals for the contracting of a specialized entity to develop and implement a Monitoring Program for Andean-Amazonian Aquatic Ecosystems and Wetlands. The consultancy aims to establish a monitoring system for aquatic ecosystems in upper basins, páramos, and wetlands of the Amazon Basin that are vulnerable to climate change and human activities, including the monitoring of prioritized threatened species.

The contract will have a duration of up to 15 months from the date of signature. Interested entities may consult the call documents below for information on the requirements and conditions for participation.

Submission of proposals: until April 30, 2026

Analysis and evaluation of applicants: May 15, 2026

Expected date for selection of the winning proposal: May 20, 2026

Expected date for announcement of results and contracting: May 25, 2026
