Results
  • Development of an integrated transboundary forecasting and warning system covering 54,463,000 hectares.
  • Participation of 13 local communities, including indigenous communities, in a complementary meteorological and hydrological monitoring system that addresses climatic conditions, river levels, as well as flood and drought risks.
  • Active participation of 23 municipalities in the Madera, Alto Purús and Alto Juruá river basins.
  • Strengthening of 12 municipalities and training of officials involved.
  • Establishment of common protocols for data exchange, agreed and implemented for the Early Warning System (EWS).
  • Implementation of an interoperable system that provides real-time information and generates bulletins.
  • Proposals for inter-municipal twinning, contributing to the sustainability of the SAT.
  • It is estimated that approximately 1.6 million people will benefit, increasing their security in the face of extreme weather events.
