The Permanent Secretariat of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (SP/OTCA) has issued a call for proposals to hire specialized consulting services aimed at consolidating and implementing an integrated water resources monitoring system in the Amazon basin/region.
The initiative aims to structure and implement a network-based system, as detailed in Annex 1 – Terms of Reference, an integral part of the call for proposals, contributing to the strengthening of integrated water management in the Amazon.
Institutions, companies, or institutes properly accredited or registered in any of the eight ACTO Member Countries may participate in the bidding process, provided they demonstrate experience in the design and implementation of integrated water resource monitoring systems at the basin scale. A minimum of 10 years of experience in activities related to the subject matter of the consultancy will be required.
Proposals must be submitted by April 30, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. (Brasília time), to the email address compras@otca.org, with the subject line “Proposal_Name of the company_ Public call 002-2026 _ Integrated Water Monitoring System Amazon_ GEF Amazon Basin Strategic Action Programme (SAP) Implementation Project“. For validation purposes, the date and time of receipt of the email will be considered. After submission, SP/OTCA will confirm receipt of the proposal via email.
Interested parties may request additional information regarding the call for proposals and technical specifications between April 13 and 25, 2026, via the email address compras@otca.org, with the subject line: “Consultation – Tender for Services to consolidate and implement an integrated network-based monitoring system for water resources in the Amazon basin/region”.
